Filming and taking photographs
Press, documentaries, films, research papers, publications, etc.
As a historic site and place of remembrance, the Natzweiler Concentration Camp Memorial and the European Centre of Deported Resistance Members may be photographed or filmed for private use. Any professional, collective or commercial use must be subject to an application for authorisation.
Depending on the nature of your project, you may be required to pay a fee, the amount of which depends on both the characteristics of the project and the duration of filming. This cost will be specified when your application for authorisation is approved by the French Ministry of Armed Force’s Department of remembrance, culture and archives (DMCA).
As part of its missions, the Natzweiler-Struthof Concentration Camp Memorial:
- identifies the specific filming conditions (logistics, accessibility, etc.);
- assists with the historical construction of projects to reflect the latest research in order to honour the victims.
Authorisation to film and take photographs
